I would like to thank you and your staff at Spire Dunedin Hospital for the excellent professionalism throughout my treatment for varicose veins problems in my lower right leg. After 3 weeks following the procedure I no longer have aches and pain in my lower leg, I can walk without limping, sleep throughout the night without waking up with leg ache and I managed to run up the stairs yesterday.

I have always been conscious of my legs, having varicose veins from what I deem to be a young age was something that really bothered me. I am a very active mum of two who loves to play netball seeing pictures of me playing and being able to see my varicose veins used to make me sad. I went to visit Professor Magee not knowing what to expect or even if he could help me. I was nervous and excited at the possibility of being able to have treatment. Little did I know that Professor Magee would make me feel completely at ease form the second he called me into the room. He understood completely why I was so bothered by them, he was sympathetic but also made me feel at ease. He explained in detail why you get varicose veins, the treatments he could offer along with his recommendations. Following from the first consultation there was a further consultation where Prof. Magee scanned both of my legs and explained exactly what he would be doing and what the procedure involved. The day of the surgery the staff at the hospital were friendly and welcoming, I was also greeted by Professor Magee as soon as I arrived. The entire process was professional right from consultation and surgery, to the aftercare and follow up appointments. I am thrilled with the results and can honestly say to anyone considering the treatment – you will not be disappointed with the results!

Just wanted to say a huge thank you and to let you know that my leg recovered in time to walk down the aisle for our lovely wedding. As you know it was just three weeks previous that I had my procedure. I did wonder if I would be able to wear heels, but by taking your advice, I was able to wear heels and dance the night away with my gorgeous groom!
